David Bakhtiari, the starting left tackle for the Green Bay Packers, has been named to his first NFL Pro Bowl. Bakhtiari has had his most fruitful season in a stellar career, being named to the AP All Pro Second Team and signing a contract extension earlier in the year making him one of the top five highest paid Offensive Lineman in the NFL.
Bakhtiari is the Packers’ first tackle to be named to the Pro Bowl since 2010.
Bakhtiari started all 19 games for the Packers this season, who’s season ended one game shy of the Super Bowl. Green Bay’s offense was prolific this season, a year in which Aaron Rodgers threw for over 4400 yards. The Packers’ offense ranked in the Top 10 in many categories among NFL teams.
Bakthiari might be replacing Eagles left tackle Jason Peters in the Pro Bowl due to injury, but this will be the first of many Pro Bowls for the Prime Time Persian on the Packers, David Bakhtiari.
