Nazanin Boniadi has been nominated for the 2019 AACTA 🇦🇺 ‘Best Lead Actress’ Award for her role in Hotel Mumbai. The Iranian born British-American actress gave a riveting performance in the film about the 2008 Hotel Mumbai terrorist shootings.
The film almost resembled a documentary in its realism in cinematography and acting. Boniadi plays Zahra in the ensemble picture co-starring Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, Jason Isaacs and Anupam Kher. The film got rave reviews for its acting and directing.
Boniadi has been lauded by critics for her intensity in the performance. The film gave a first hand look at the atrocities that occurred on that fateful day. As we have written many times, ‘Nazanin Boniadi : The Best Persian Export Since Caviar.’
