We met David Dastmalchian at the Ant-Man Premiere After Party at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood in 2015. His star was on the rise. He starred in Ant-Man opposite Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas. Six years later Dastmalchian is starring in two of 2021’s biggest blockbusters. He is starring as Polka-Dot-Man in Suicide Squad 2. The James Gunn film co-stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba and John Cena – with another Persian connection – his wife Shay Shariatzadeh.
Dastmalchian is also starring in the upcoming blockbuster Dune as Piter de Vries. Dastmalchian is a talented stage and film actor who got his break in the film The Dark Knight. He has a unique ability to speak with his eyes. One of the many trait that sets him apart as his star rises in Hollywood. Dastmalchian’s charisma an acting ability is what led to his casting in Gunn’s film, as well as his ability to befriend filmmakers, due to his versatility.
