Four years ago I noticed Britney Spears had a posted a picture with a buff, young and GQ-type Middle Eastern looking body builder on her Instagram page. I clicked over her post on the gent’s name. It read Sam Asghari.
After realizing her debonair boyfriend was of Iranian descent I nearly jumped out of my chair with adulation and pride. I was excited to see Spears, who is my age and of my generation, dating a young Persian guy.
Many might have thought that Asghari was her new boy-toy or perphaps a short term fling. But it turns out Sam Asghari is the real deal. He is a romantic boyfriend who routinely posts pictures with Britney, and calls her his lioness. And their relationship has lasted over four years.
Asghari has built a successful body building career for himself. Having appeared on Iron Man magazine and regularly getting commercial endorsements that he posts on his social media page. With 1.3 Million Instagram followers, Asghari’s brand is now global.
Asghari’s credits include NCIS, Unbelievable, Can You Keep a Secret, and Fifth Harmony, to name a few. He has also been featured in a segment in Entertainment Tonight.
There is a shortage of leading Iranian male actors and it’s refreshing to see Sam Asghari making a name for himself in Hollywood.
