Press Release : Iranian American Lawyers Gather for Annual IABA Networking Event

The Orange County Chapter of the Iranian-American Bar Association cordially invites you to its Eighth Annual Fundraiser and Gala on Saturday, May 12, 2018 aboard the Icon Yacht in Newport Beach, California.

The Iranian-American Bar Association (“IABA”) was formed as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2000 for educational, professional, and charitable purposes, including promoting the social, economic, professional, and educational advancement of the Iranian-American community as well as the community at large. In 2014, IABA reorganized into a 501(c)(6), and IABA Foundation was created as a 501 (c)(3) to handle IABA’s scholarships and charitable work. With over 1,500 members and supporters and chapters in nine metropolitan areas around the country, IABA is one of the most prominent minority bar associations in the United States. IABA is on the forefront of efforts to challenge the “Travel Ban” and to assist those who have been impacted.

One of IABA Foundation’s yearly programs is to provide scholarships to law students. IABA Foundation’s scholarships are designed to recognize the academic achievements of law students who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the Iranian-American community and IABA’s mission. Over the years, we have issued scholarships to deserving students from law schools across the country, including Harvard, Yale, UC Berkeley, UCLA, George Washington, and Loyola.

To this end, IABA-OC’s annual signature event, the Eighth Annual Fundraiser and Gala aboard the Icon Yacht in Newport Bay is a beautiful venue to raise funds for this charitable and worthy cause. Come dine, dance, and drink on this gorgeous sunset cruise! Ticket price includes:
