Simon Bolivar is regarded as the Napolean of South America. He was a Venezuelan politician, diplomat and military hero. He helped liberate most of South America from Spanish rule.

Bolivar is on currency, has airports, streets, cities and schools named after him. He even has a country named after him, Bolivia 🇧🇴

Simon Bolivar has been depicted in biopics before by Maximilian Schell and Edgar Ramirez, among others. The only problem is those actors don’t look like him. An actor who does look like Simon Bolivar, however, is Navid Negahban.

Negahban is a veteran actor, best known for his portrayal in Homeland. He has the same piercing eyes, raised eyebrows, hair color and face structure as Bolivar. If he will speak in English than no Spanish is necessary. Bolivar’s story is one of great ambition and a biopic of his should be made, where there is an actual resemblance.

If Navid Negahban played Simon Bolivar in a biopic, audiences will feel like they are going back in time.
