Russell Crowe has been sporting a beard for some time and he has portrayed a General already on screen. (Maximus in Gladiator).

Crowe has an uncanny resemblance to 19th Century U.S. President and Civil War General Ulysses S. Grant.

He is an Oscar winning actor with immense range and talent that is itching to be given another great script to deliver another impeccable performance.

He is no stranger to biopics having portrayed James Braddock in Cinderella Man. Now all we need is a good script by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer to produce a feature film about Grant and the Civil War. There are many story line opportunities in Grant’s life and if a biopic about Ulysses S. Grant is written Russell Crowe should be the only name that comes to mind.
